Garmin details here:-
NO Autorouting [car navigation] and small memory!

Quote:
Maps & Memory:
Basemap: yes
Ability to add maps: yes
Built-in memory: 24 MB
Accepts data cards: no
Waypoints/favorites/locations: 500
Routes: 50
Track log: 10,000 points, 10 saved tracks
Preloaded maps: no

There is little space for loading maps - so CityNavigator and the whole of the M25 would require more memory than is available. Not Good

It seems it does not autoroute so your best map would be Metroguide with small maptiles. The whole of M25 would then be 8MB.

GB TOPO requires 16MB if you want to walk the whole of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path

thanks for the reply i did look at metro guide and gb topo but when i looked at the product Compatibility the venture hc is not listed and it threw me a bit.

thanks again, just dipping my toe in the gps world and sure i will upgrade at some time in the future,so this unit will do me fine for now.

i am going to go for the metroguide i think.

Hi

Sorry for the hijack!!

I have an etrex

Im about to buy some memory for a different device and thus can pick up some at a good price for my Vista in case I ever buy the Garmin maps

What size memory card would the full UK TOPO need please if I get the DVD?

Assuming I can load the DVD to memory then plug it in my unit......

Cheers

Theo
