On the tomtom itself (not in home) go to the last page of the main menu then "TomTom PLUS services" and you should see "TomTom Budies". _________________ Paul |

The 950 doesn't support Buddies it is yet another of the features that TomTom removed from a standard issue when they released the x50 range - Mike |

I am surprised about the 950 not offering buddies as the 940 running 950 software (9.025) does and I would have thought this was a software feature rather than a hardware. On my 940 with 950 software, buddies is under Main Menu 3 of 3, Live services, Middle Icon in the top row. _________________ Drivelux |

So what do you have on your Live services menu MrT?
On the top row, left to right, i have hd traffic, local search, fuel prices. On the bottom row, safety alerts, weather and read inbox messages.
I really hope i've not been suckered for purchasing the supposed top of the range unit. Sounds to me like i've paid over the odds and got less functionality than the older devices. I could have bought a 7xx with more features and an additional USA map and still paid less.
Oh well, looks like handtec will be getting a return soon and i might as well stick with my XL with TMC. |

Recently purchased a One Live XL IQ Routes Europe for TOH.
Unlike my previous GO 740 Live, it seems to be missing the Buddies part of live services, which I quite liked.
My GO 740 is running version 8.371
My One Live XL IQ Routes Europe is running version 8.419
From what I can gather the version 8.419 does not include buddies.
Is it possible to manually download and install a version to the One Live XL IQ Routes Europe which does include Buddies, such as the 8.371 running on the GO 740 Live? |

The menu icons are determined by the model id of the TT.
Hence why x50 Navcore on a x40 still shows Buddies, as it is a x40 feature.
No matter what Navcore you put on a XL LIVE you will not get Buddies, unless you 'fool' the software into thinking it is a x40. |
