maybe it'd be easier to get in touch with the navman side of things? they ARE the software developers now?

Good luck on that front! Navman can't even design it to accommodate sufficient POIs that our mobiles can be loaded on the S-Series, it falls over at 12,000 POIs so any thought of them implementing directional stuff for third party POIs is wishful thinking!

They manage to provide speed sensitive and directional functionality for their own of course but then again there is a profit in that, well there would have been if the S-Series wasn't a bag of nails!

I recall talking to Navman's MD at a launch many years back and at that point he told me they foresaw no need for custom POIs at all (I asked about such support as we had just launched our database). He scoffed at the idea that safety camera POIs would ever be a big market!

Mio/igo have got the directional feature implemented extememly well, as I think Trevor will agree with the tests he has done. Anyone who wants to achive the same result should employ him!

out of curiosity has anyone tried the igo download for the mio? it certainly has speed data for mobiles but requires igo 2006 plus or igo8 so not sure what version of igo the mio software was based on...

Miomap 3.3 is an oem version of 2006 plus - even the skins are compatible (more or less).
