Different types of Cameras

hi. Not sure of the different distinctions between some of the categories of cameras in the database

1. pocketgps uk gatso /pocketgps uk specs (yellow logo) /pocketgps uk
temp

2. pocketgps uk mobile (white logo) / pocketgps uk pmobile (black logo)

Trying to set up different voice alert sounds on my TomTom 700 and a lot of them have different speed limits in the dialogue so iam trying to sort out exactly what all these different types of camera are.

Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Hi Ballaterboy

UK gatso (white std camera logo) - normal fixed/variable speed cameras.
UK Specs (Yellow std camera logo) - SPECS Average speed cameras.
UK Temp (White std camera logo) - Road works camera locations.
UK Mobile (White mobile camera logo) - Mobile camera vans/police speed traps.
UK PMobile (Black Mobile camera logo) - unverified Mobile camera van/police speed traps.

To see what these cameras might look like have a look at the bottom of the camera submissions page.

Also somewhere on this forum are some sound files already made up for all the camera files. Search for the liz voices or sounds. If you are really lucky someone might post a link hear for you! Wink

Hi Thanks guys that was just the info I was looking for.
Found a site that does all sorts of "celebrity voices" for sat nav including alerts. Always wary about this for numerous reasons but this guy is genuine, up front and great. Was going to post this in the section about retailers to go to but only have 6 posts.
Anybody interested in this then this site is well worth looking at
