Suddenly I am getting this error "Unable to start. An exception occurred. Memory access violation” and I cannot launch Tom Tom. I have done soft resets, uninstalled Tom Tom and now done a hard reset and formatted the SD card before reinstalling. It started to work and I managed to set up my preferences and home location but it will now not launch again. Please Please help me.

Is this an original copy of TomTom, do you have the installation CD?

Hi Darren
Yes I installed it but I think I had already done it.
However I have done yet another hard reset and used the new downloaded exe file and carefully installed some maps and voices and it seems to be up and running. I have one small problem though which has been around before. Tom Tom does not always see the maps - I have to do a soft reset and it seems to come back. However in the past I have lost Italy and Spain completely when I was travelling. This thing seems to have rather quircky features sometimes. Thank you for your help and hopefully this is an end to it for now.
