Appreciate this may have come up before but can't find ref. Have a car with heated front screen. Are there any makes models that can cope with this or am I stuck with an external ariel??
Many thanks
Don

Any modern unit should work ok with a heated front screen without an external aerial.

Most modern units are able to work through quick clear windscreens.

However, if this is not the case, you will find GPS manufacturers offer plug-in antennae so that you can then place the external antenna elsewhere in the car where it's unobscured

It's the heat REFLECTING screens ("athermic") that have caused problems in the past, rather then heated ones.
But I think the latest GPS chipsets are so sensitive that even those aren't such an issue now.

I've just purchased the TomTom 920T and that works flawlessly in a Ford Transit with the heated screen. Not tried the traffic options yet.

My SDA smartphone running Copilot died as soon as I closed the door!
