Quest car mount

I know that the failings of the Quest suction mount have been discussed before but I'm not sure if the currently available mount from gpsw is any good or not:

I read here that the Quest 2 mount is better but am not sure which this is as it is listed for both the Quest and Quest 2.

...or are there any better solutions? £55 is a lot for a mount for such an old/outdated GPS.
