As for mapshare, could you please check the region displayed
below on your screen (grid data on the jpg). for better clarity
turn off street names. all blocked and one way streets are my job.
Someone with the WCE or EE map needs to check this one. On my WE map the area is completely deserted.
Ok, I just had to carry out a small test to see what the story really was with the changed POI handling since TomTom support are obviously not willing or able to describe it. In order to cover all scenarios I deleted a couple of faulty POIs, corrected the naming of one POI and finally added a few restaurants that were missing. A check in filesystem of the device indicated changes to UserPatch.dat and DeletedPoi.local as well as the creation of PA7315.ov2 (7315 corresponds to the restaurant category). So, apparently the PAxxxx.ov2 files are still being used for outgoing POI updates, even though incoming updates might be integrated with the map updates. I will keep my eyes on the MapShare updates for the next few days to see when/if my submitted changes become available.
You might want to extend your period of observation, change the unit of measurement from days to months from what I have experianced - Mike
How could this process take months? I at least was under the impression that POI changes distributed via the subscription feature of TomTom HOME (if it's still available that is) didn't require any manual verifcation by TomTom (note the distinction between Corrections verified by TomTom and Corrections to POI I subcribed to. My interpretation was that the 2nd category didn't involve any verification work by TomTom and could thereby be automated, but I may be wrong.

I only base this comment on personal experiance from the original onset of MapShare, if things have changed/ moved on from then all well and good.
I have multiple devices and uploaded new Police Stations, Chemists etc for my local area from the 720 and waited for them to appear on my other devices via MapShare - they simply didn't turn up, and considering I even went to the trouble of adding phone numbers to each entry.
Let us know when your changes appear, I am sat still waiting - Mike
