Got a leaflet in the box with my 520 that says about using Latest Map Guarantee, Mapshare, and it says get a free safety camera update.

I have done the latest map and mapshare, but i can't see how you get the free Safety Camera update?

Any ideas?

Must also say thanks to my local Halfords, reseved my 520 online to collect from store, using a £20 discount voucher from a website, got it for £159, bloke gave me a 520 Music Edition instead of the normal 520!
Shame i don't have an iPod!!

I would imagine you are talking about the TT cameras, if so you should go to the TomTom PLUS icon in the menu screen (PAGE 3), Select TomTom speed cameras and then enable cameras. If you are getting free updates then when you next connect to home you will get them automatically when you select the (Update my GO) when you connect your TT to your PC. If you are going to subscribe to Speed Cams i would reccomend you have a look about this site as you get alot more value for money and alot more up to date Speed Camera System.

Thanks for that.

I won't be subscribing to TT's cameras, but will be subscribing here.

Hi all.

The TT safety camera download you have mentioned here that you get free for one month, is that the same database to which you can subscribe to TT for once your free updates have ended?

There is no mention of getting them free for a month unless i've missed something Confused . But as far as i am awere there is only one TT database to download so wether it is free with your deal or you subscribe then it will be the same database. But as l siad you would get alot more value for money here and more up to date database also. Very Happy Wink

And although TT state they are updating their database weekly i still think it is far from accurate.

I did make an assumption here. When I installed the TT it downloaded safety camera files and did show some cameras on the TT although they seem to have disappeared now.

I assume here you are saying you don't get TT cameras unless you pay for it?

I see you opened another topic about this. If you keep to this topic your answers bill be here and save the PGPS staff time to answer others. Wink

If you have amanaged to download the Database from TT and you have not paid for them then you must be getting them for free so if you look at your other post you will see how to check they are enabled but post any other replies to this topic here. Very Happy Very Happy
