HELP NEEDED - FUGAWI WAYPOINT + ETREX VISTA PROBLEM

Just bought a new Vista HCX, I am using FUAWI mapping software which I used fine with my standard old etrex, I used it to download riutes and waypoints that I had planned straight onto the GPS via the old cable, now I have been told and it even says on Garmins website that this software should be fine with the new Vista HCX, however when I come to transfer waypoints it says 'Incorrect waypoint format, and it won't recognise the waypoint, when I upload a route to the unit, it uploads the name of the route but when you come to access it there is no waypoints the form the route! really frustrating, can anybody PLEASE help with this as this is primarily what I use it for!
