Hi All,
I have a Royaltek GPS Mouse which connects via the ipaq connector, as well as an Arkon powered / multimedia mount.
Obviously, when the Arkon is powering the ipaq I cannot connect the GPS.
Can I be the only person with this problem?
Can I get a converter to convert my serial/ipaq connector to USB, will it then work in the 'handsfree' USB slot on the Arkon Cradle?
Can I alternatively purchase a piggy back type connector to plug two devices in at once into the bottom of the ipaq?
These doubler things do exist, Brodit have them on their mounts. Do I have to Send back the Arkon and purchase a Brodit? I would rather not, I like the idea of the speaker in the Arkon.
How have other people overcome this issue?

If you are planning to use the RGM exclusively in that car then you could hard wire the GPS recieer into the Arkon Mount... I have done something similiar with a re-used iPAQ cradle. _________________ Lutz

Any chance of enlightening me? Thats sounds like a great plan, as the GPS mouse will only ever be used in this car, in this mount. What I want to do is have a permanent install of the GPS receiver and power to the PDA through the Arkon mount. Can I just add a power supply to a couple of pins in the Ipaq connector on the GPS, or hardware the GPS connector through the Arkon power feed connector?
How did you do yours?

I've been terribly stupid.
The Connector on the Royaltek provides the PDA with GPS signal AND power!!!
Sorry for the confusion. Problem solved, now to mount the cradle!
