I have a TT910, I was setting up my speed camera and poi warnings using home and noticed that there was an option for recording your own warnings. I recorded a couple of speed camera warnings that recorded and playbacked fine but on the road i just get the normal bing bong.

Does this function work on the 910??

Your recordings will get placed in a folder called "sounds".
Assuming you are using the PGPSW camera data:
When you go to the "warn when near" setup for EACH of your POI categories you should get to the normal sound effects page with cows bongs etc.
At the bottom of the list you should find your recordings which you can select in the normal way.
If you are using TT's OWN camera warnings, it is done in the "Plus Services" menu, but the sound selection is similar.

I also have a 910 and have played around with text to speech messages and all sorts.

I believe the best and easiest way is just to download one of the voice packs from here and you get the perfect warning everytime.

This isn't so much text to speech, it's where you can record your own voice and have that as your warning.

I have not got this to work 100% yet.
It records fine and plays back fine through tt home simulator, even works doing a demo route.
On the 910 it defaults back to a bong, the .wav file is there but won't test or play if selected.
Anybody got any ideas??

I have the 910 as well and I had a similar problem I found that I could get it to work only if the names matched the file that they where associated with 100%, I had a few post on here and Andyp who replied to some of them with some great tips on how try and get it working he stated that the names did not have to be the same, some have got it working with the names that are different but mine did as yours is doing until I named them the same and all work good now in any mode.

Flack. Very Happy
