Installing new data message on device

Hello i put new data on an sd card and plugged it into my nuvi 310. When i turned it on i got a message saying "new data on card" then "would you like to install on your device".

I selected no and ticked the box for don't ask me again. Could someone please tell me how to turn this message feature back on as i may want to use this again in the future. I know i could use the poi loader software to do it. But it's just in case i don't have access to a pc on holiday or something. Thanks.

I would try removing the card and then putting it back in again.

You might then get the same prompt.

I cant see why you would need the data copied from you sd card to the unit. It is better to not keep adding data to your unit as this can fragment the drive in time.
