After over 2 years of use it is hardly surprising that my screen is looking a bit worse for ware. Finger nail scratches etc.
Is there any kind of clear film that can be purchased to cover this or would it hamper the sesitivity too much?
(I have done a search so sorry if this has been "covered" before.) |

Don't they cover the scratches and put a gloss back on the screen then? |

They're generally meant to protect the screen, from new. How serious are the scratches? I'm wondering whether covering the scratched screen might produce erroneous "touches"? _________________ Jock

Just a lot of mild surface marks. No deep scratches.
Only really visible from an angle and not noticeable when ONE is on and you are looking straight at it.
Just upgraded to 7.16 and new 710 map and its like having a new TomTom ................wow it gets a GPS fix in the house in less than 10 seconds now! I thought if I could smarten the look of the screen up it would finish the job off. |

A quick search on Ebay shows a packet of 12 for £1.99 (+£1.99 p+p), so binable if they cause problems. Just check that you get the correct one for your particular model. _________________ Jock

Arrived today.
They do the job I wanted just fine. A bit fiddly to apply but they fit the screen perfectly and it looks like new again.
Touchscreen operation seems unaffected so far too. |
