I have an iPAQ 6515 with iGo installed. It works as charm. But I thought I would go for one of the latest symbian smartphones with GPS integrated. However I am still confused. It seems like Nokia N95, an advanced phone, does not accept software like iGO, TomTom and the likes. If I am not mistaken Route 66 is the only option.

Can you tell me which is the best modern smartphone which takes iGO, TomTom etc? If not is it worth it to discard my "old" functionable PDA and opt for the "modern" smartphones?

Opinions please

The n95 will load TomTom, the only issue is that at present its internal GPS is unsupported but this should hopefully be resolved.

I've used TomTom on an n73 with good results.

Don't dismiss Route 66. I've used TT for years and have recently started to use Route 66 on a Nokia Navigator, and it's not a bad bit of kit. A bit slow on TTFF but lightning quick route recalc - much faster than TT. Now it's my satnav of choice -fewer bits to carry around.

Am now negotiating for an N95E 8Gb, and would have no hesitation in installing Route 66.
