Hi guys,

few days ago I bought TT510 and since I'm still waiting for a car I tested it while walking. I noticed that when my walking speed is under 5km TT just doesn't work, it's stuck on current position. Then after some time I will speed up just a little and he will pick up signal again, show current position and after few seconds freeze again.

Today I walked all the time between 5-6km per hour and it was working perfect.

Is this how your TT510 is working also?

I noticed that when I enter GPS status screen with those blue bars showing what satellites I found, bars are blue all the time, but never full, they are usually between 50-90% full. Also, sometimes then are gray color. I hope that this doesn't mean that I have faulty device.

Because the Device is basically for road navigation, using it for walking is a bit of a compromise.

It updates it's position about once every second. There is also the limitation of how accurate that position is, in the order of 5 metres I believe.

When moving at the slower speeds it will 'assume' that there has been no movement, until it reaches the point where it does a re-calculate and realises that movement has been made.

You would have to be zoomed in very close to see any small movements in the displayed position. 250 metres is probably full screen, so each step is only a pixel. Smile

The colour of the GPS Status is normal. Only 3 (blue) satellites are needed for a GPS Fix. Any more is just a bonus.

Hi Oldboy, thanks for a reply.

Few weeks ago when I was playing with friends Garmin I noticed that he's showing speeds lower then 5km. While we where in traffic jam Garmin showed 1-2-3km without problem.

That's why I'm a little worried that my TomTom maybe doesn't pickup signal very well. Anyway, I will test it tomorrow more so maybe I will have better info....
