Just connected up my old faithful TTG 500 to TT Home and updated it to V7.162. Anyone have a clue what was in this update. |

It's available for the x10 units as well. See if I can find out what is 'better'. _________________ Richard

As usual the upgrade notes on www.tomtom.com/6141 are still on 7.161 at this time. _________________ Richard

On my TTGO500 one of the "improvements" is that the auto power on/off no longer funtions so I have to remember to switch it off manually. I also seem to have lost the menu option to show the current sytem and map ref numbers. I have not noticed any real improvements.

I have just been out on a drive and found that the auto power-on now does work when placing the unit into the screen mount. It still powers off in 10secs when undocking or uplugging the power. So thats one better feature, albeit present in an older version. |

Which version did you update from?
The menu item for the software/maps details has been gone a long time!
You get to it now by tapping the satellite strength bars and then tapping the small box with the version number in.
The "auto-off" should now be in the "battery-saving preferences" menu in change preferences (page 7 of 8 on a Go720). First options screen is about turning the screen off or not, second screen has a tick-box for "Switch off when external power is lost". |

Thanks Andy. Can't remember what my previous version was but it must have been updated last about a year ago. Have now found the power off option under battery saving which is on page 6 of 7 on my 500.
