Have a read through #8 on the FAQ page which can be found Here
As for card size go for either 2GB or 4GB as the prices are very cheap these days, don't purchase an SDHC type though and make sure what you do get has a decent read speed (avoid the low cost cards from e-bay as these are often "badged" and don't work due to the low read speed - Mike |

Try: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/
An own brand 2Gb "Hi-Speed" SD card for around £10, that's what I've used in my 720. |

I used a My Memory 2GB card, and although it appeared to work well, TomTom would lock up every couple of months, and the only way to get it working again was to format the card and restore my backup.
I suspected the card and replaced it with a Sandisk Ultra III, and it has worked perfectly for the last 7 or 8 months.
I then tried the My Memory card in my digital camera, and occasionally I lost a frame, or had a part of the frame cut off. I came to the conclusion that very cheap cards are not altogether a good thing
