I'm considering buying a refurbished TomTom One v2 with UK maps.
I'd like to add on Western Europe maps, but as they will only be used very occasionally I don't mind getting a slightly older set as cost is an issue.
I found the following at Amazon for 20 quid: Here.
It states that it will only work with the original One, but a reviewer on the same page says that in fact it will also work with v2.
The product is described as "TomTom Map of Western Europe - Maps (DVD)" and the map version is apparently 6.5, copyright 2006.
Can anyone give a definitive answer as to whether it is compatible?

Thanks for this, but I don't think I have the level of detail needed - all I know is that the TomTom is a v2 and the map version is 6.5. I'm completely new to this I'm afraid.
What do you think are the chances of it working (even if I have to perhaps install a slightly older version of the navigation software)? |

The Maps will work across all the Devices. The limitation is the Version of Software that you will be using.
If the Software is V6.5xx then it will only work with V6 Software, or later.
Just need to make sure you have V6, on the Device, and a big enough SD Card.

The fatal flaw of that chart is that it only shows what you have found to work, not what does work.
Will anyone contradict me if I say that ANY v6 Tele Atlas map will work on any unit and that any v7 map will work on any unit running v7 software? |
