Transmit Position to Website?

Hi,

I was speaking to a friend who uses Co Pilot recently and was really interested to hear that he can invite people to watch his journeys so they can go on a website and see his position on a map - and for free.
(it connects to his phone over bluetooth and uses GPRS to send the position to the copilot servers every few minutes).

Is there any add-on's for TomTom to do this?

Isn't that what Buddies does?

I don't know how good it is, but a Search returned several Threads, including This one.

Buddies only does that if both users have compatible GO's that are hooked up to mobile internet connections.

Hi,

Yeah, this allowed you to invite people from your phone/pda in the car and they could log in on any computer and see your location/destination on a map in the web browser.

Great idea and looked very nifty!

He also said that Co Pilot gives traffic info for free!
