Is it possible to unlock maps on myguide 3100

I have 2 3100's.I bought one for myself which has 256 mb memory and an sd card for the maps with just the basemaps on the flahdrive but it also has EUmajor maps on the sd card aswell as GB.The new one labelled a 3110 has 516mb drive and no sd card but no EU maps on.I can copy my sd EU maps to the other flash drive .when I reset it though it tells me that some maps are locked,presumably the EU ones.Can I unlock them easily or is it myguide protection to stop such copying across?
