No, but it's probably not the sort of company car that you're allowed to take home after work. Cool

BUT, perhaps she's not a good example to use, further research shows possible 'preferred treatmant' - here and here

An habitual speeder perhaps?
Very much an habitual speeder. There was a time, many years ago, when I would have considered it unthinkable that a good socialist woman might ever have a car capable of travelling at 99mph so smoothly that she wouldn't notice she was speeding. That was when I was young. I didn't realise that you could be a "true" labour party (or indeed, any party) politician and still "earn" an obscene salary. I presume that when the day comes that speed monitors are fitted to all vehicles, MP's vehicles will be exempt.

Of course, what else would you expect from our so called leaders.

Do as i say, not as i do!

That applies to police officers as well.

When i was younger, I had a police officer friend who used to start all the fights on a night out - thought it was great fun.

Why shouldn't a 'socialist' have a decent car?

(off_topic)I used to live in a place in Yorkshire where people did not like others to have nice stuff. An example: if you needed some decorating doing and a decorator turned up in a half decent car you didn't hire him because to be able to afford it he must be ripping you off in some way. I didn't 'get' that attitude and still don't. In hampshire you still see this kind of thing occasionally but it's very infrequent.(/off_topic)

Oh, and the traffic cop familiarising himself with the car, legitimate in my opinion but he should have got it approved as an official training excercise rather that doing it off his own bat. So mixed feeings on that one.

I'd say they defended the officer with policy or lack of it, and suggested that by honing his skills he was somehow on PATROL???? Evil or Very Mad

Dont' like that!

As a dyed in the wool Yorkshireman I can go along with that. As for cars, MaFt has a Ford Escort and he lives in Yorkshire.

Socialists are supposed to wear hair shirts and walk or ride bicycles like David Cameron. That way, they'd never set off speed camera thingies.

I know just the place! GATSO:3015@30 is at the bottom of a very fast hill. It's in West Yorkshire between Morley and Batley.

It's probably the memory of my older brother and me on a tandem 60 years ago that caused this camera to be put up in the first place.
