Hi
I am having trouble opening the speed camera zip file downloaded onto my mac. Have used firefox which was able to download the file without problems but from there I can't extract the files to put on my Nuvi. Safari gets stuck on the download.
I read a suggestionon the FAQs to try shortening the file names but it hasn't worked.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated
Cheers

I think, IIRC, that you need Stuffit and you drag the Zip File to it for the Unzip to work.
Try a Search for 'Stuffit' and I'm sure several of the Topics will cover it. _________________ Richard

StuffitExpander is a free utility available here
This version only works with 10.4, so if you have an earlier OS, I'll have to look into it and research an alternative link or look at what I have archived. _________________ Andy

sajross,
Have you now managed to unzip the file or is it still giving you problems? _________________ Andy

Thanks Oldboy and GPS_fan for the advice. It worked a treat. Sorry for not confirming sooner but wanted to make sure everything loaded onto my NUVI and was working before writing back.

StuffitExpander user to be included in Mac OS, but I don't think it is any more and you have to download & install it manually.
Leopard (10.5) is something that I'm really looking forward to, especially Time Machine, and I'm hoping to have it installed and running by this time next week.
Windows users don't know what they're missing _________________ Andy

For another alternative, try a program called Unarchiver. |

Yes, that does look like a good alternative
At the moment, though, I'm more interested in what Leopard has to offer _________________ Andy

yep - spots, Time Machine, Quick Look, Stacks, Spaces and a whole host of features that leaves Windows looking like an operating system on a kid's computer in kindergarten
