Hi

I know this is a silly question but its driving me nuts.

On my 520 if I use the media player or activate the FM transmiter I get a transparent Icon on the main map page.

How do I remove the Icon as I find it annoying apart from a re-set which is the only way I have found Laughing Out Loud

Thanks

Paul

not too sure about the FM transmitter but if you go to change preferences then go to music preferences & uncheck Show music button in Driving View that should clear the music icon in map view.

Change Preferences
Quick Menu Preferences
Uncheck whichever you don't want to be displayed.

... and when you've unchecked ALL of them, the quickmenu icon will disappear.

The Quick Menu icon is the one that (I guessed) the OP meant - the green circular arrow on the main navigation screen.

As far as I know, if several options are ticked in the QuickMenu Preferences menu, the green arrow will appear; if ONE option is selected then the specific icon for that particular function will appear instead; but if none are ticked it will vanish. (Although a bug (in 'Home'?) seems to reset them to it's own preferences sometimes.)

If I remember correctly, there were several options ticked when my TT first came "out of the box". That's why I thought he was probably seeing the green arrow rather than any other icon.

Been having a play

It looks like the only way to turn of the FM Icon is to turn of FM usage in the speaker section.

Not for me - I do use the FM feature for navigating and ALWAYS turn off the FM icon by the method I said previously :-

Change Preferences..
Quick Menu Preferences..
Untick the box for FM transmitter (top of second page of Quick Menu Preferences).

I prefer to have the quick menu preference its the only way you can use the pause feature on the mp3 player.

When you tap the pause/stop button if it throws you back to the main screen you can the tap the musical note icon and then click resume

You will only get this if jukebox is enabled in the quick preferences.
