TT510 v Garmin660T

I am thinking of going from a TT510 to a Garmin660T. Are there any serious pros and cons and as I caravan a lot, does the commercial vehicle route planner on the 660T work well.

Having made the switch from long term TT Navigator user to nuvi 660 the main consideration is the totally different user interface philosophy. It takes a while to adjust but I now find it second nature.

Can't speak for the commercial (lorry) setting - perhaps other users out there can assist with this one.

It seems to be the generally accepted opinion that setting No U-Turns as a preference helps reduce some of the sillier routing options that it can try and use when in your car (it treats unclassified roads as viable 60mph options )

All-in-all I like the nuvi - now have two (well the wife has a 310). I have the sound plumbed into my car radio so I can enjoy very clear directions/warnings and telephone conversations. Also the TMC unit is hard wired into my external, amplified, aerial and enjoys pretty good reception. Although it was dire with the usless piece of string that comes with the original.
