Hi.

I've just discovered the wonderful world of Sat Nav prior to starting a new driving job next week.

I've bought a Nuvi 200W rather than the TT XL after reading many posts and shopping around, have I done the right thing???

1. I thought the Nuvi could navigate to GBOS grid references? but I can only find the long/lat input screen.

2. I can't find a PC link cable on the Garmin website. Can I only transfer data from PC to Nuvi via the SD card?

Many thanks in advance for all replies, Dan

I have a Nuvi 310D, and to change coordinates to British National Grid on it, I select the "Where To?" button and then "Coordinates", where you'll find "Format", which then shows the different coordinates your machine supports.

Whilst my Lat/Long coordinates are accurate, there's an error with BNG (which Garmin know about) due to their use of the wrong Map Datum.
Perhaps a fix may eventually appear?!

Hope that helps.

Thanks PA.

I did find that format option and unless I'm mistaken I only have 3 options of different formats for lat/long.

I'll check again and then see if anyone else can shed some light on it.

Cheers, Dan

probably not able to do it with the 200 series. These seem to have been 'cost engineered'. Rolling Eyes
