Speed cameras in Cyprus

I am presently living in the Republic of Cyprus (southern part of the island) where speed cameras are just beginning to be installed. They have a few dozen at present and a few mobiles as well as some traffic light cameras (which may double as speed cameras as well - I am not sure of this). The first batch has had problems and most are being removed while they are sorted out. Thye will be re-installed over the next 9 months. They are expecting to have 400+ once the first phase of the scheme is complete.

Would you like me to mark and notify you of the locations as I come across them. Even when they have been removed they will be replaced in the same sites.

There is no available GPS mapping for Cyprus as yet (althouhg the island has been digitally mapped for Land Registry purposes) but I cna mark the sites by grid reference (Lat & Long) marked by my handheld Garmin geko.

sounds good. even if there are no maps the gps position of a sat nav could detect the locations anyway - if people were THAT paranoid ;)

still - always better to have the data in advance anyway!
