Had to get a new sd card for my TomTom One. put it in, attached my "One" to the computer via the usb port, switched it on. TomTom home automatically fired up. Went to my most recent "back-up" and everything seemed to go back into my "One". BUT...... When I switch it on, I get the welcome screen, then it just displays a white screen with an "egg timer" saying "PLEASE WAIT" in five languages!! it wont switch off, and if I use the reset, it just goes through the same routine! H E L P!!!! Dave.

Hi, If you are trying to copy your TomTom HOME backup onto the SD card, then this is why it doesn't work, TomTom misses files when it does a backup, have you got a FULL WINDOWS EXPLORER backup you can use, whats wrong with the original TomTom SD card? You may have to send it to TomTom for them to re-load the software onto the SD card, or do you mean, you want to copy the SD card onto a bigger one?

I think you'll find a TomTom backup is just not good enough, as I said, it doesn't copy everything, and a friends won't work either, your best bet is to send the damaged SD card back to TomTom and ask for a replacement, I don't know if they will charge you, when you get it back, copy the SD card onto a new card, and use the new card as a working card, and the original, as a master copy, and keep it in a safe place, I have also burned a copy onto CD. To make a copy, look here, number 1.
