Hi people,

I am going on holiday of early hours of Monday 24th September and am flying from Birmingham International Airport (BHX).

I have booked my car into APH (Airport Parking & Hotels).

Car Park: APH Birmingham (Hams Hall).

According to APH when i telephoned they told me that Sat Navs never finds the place etc and advise not using them.

On my TomTom One V2 (New Edition) i types in the postcode "B46 1AL" and the postcode is found and says "Faraday Avenue" which is part of there address, see below - But i am worried using it as accroding to them they never find it even thou my sat nav finds the postcode and says Faraday Avenue.

Car Park Address:

APH Birmingham (Hams Hall)
Faraday Avenue , Hams Hall Distribution Centre
Birmingham
B46 1AL

Does anyone know whether TomTom can find this car park with out problems? and does anyone have a POI for the car park or pocketgpsworld have a POI for it?

If you follow the instructions given here. They will take you to approx here. I'd suggest that is the reception and the carpark is opposite Laughing

It looks as if the reason that satnavs can't find it is cos they're on an unclassified road!

1) enjoy your holiday
2) record your location when you're at the car park and submit it (here), when you get back.

Have you made a POI or are you going to do that there? If you could get the co-ordinates of the nearest roundabout that could get you that far....

If you put that post code (B46 1AL) into Google Earth, it will zoom into the car park areas that you are looking for. If you then add a Google placemark on where you want to be, it'll give you the reference co-ordinates to put into your TomTom to create a POI or to just navigate there.

I've often used this method to get to somewhere precisely. Works well, provided the roads are known to the TT.

Are you suggesting that the location that I've given above is the wrong one? The car park that you've located hardly seems big enough!
But if you KNOW that to be the correct one, I'd suggest a PM to the OP, in case he misses the correction.

I'll second that!

You can recognise it dead easily - it's got 600 Euros in it.

B46 1AL looks terribly like just a factory car park to me. Whereas BGF seems to have followed the directions to the right spot. Autoroute's Live Local shows a zillion cars parked at BGF's spot.

In TT you can use Navigate to .... | Lat/Long.

If you use the co-ords in the Local Live Link, N52.52638, W1.70580, it will take you to that location.

BGF gave you the correct location as per the parking company's directions.
