GNU general public license error.

I have tried to back-up my tomtom go 300 now when I try to restore the files after trying to update it from tomtom site (didnt update as my sd card is too small.)

It says when i try to restore my tomtom that the GNU general public license.txt has an error corrupt or unreadable.

How can I get my tomtom to work again as I bought this tomtom from E-bay and have no CD for it.

Any help would be great.

If that is the only corrupt file then you have nothing to worry about - its just a text file telling you about some of the free software the Go is based on.

First do ANOTHER backup of whatever is still on the card, by selecting EVERYTHING in Windows Explorer and copying it to another place on your PC.
The next step depends on how you made your backup and how you are trying to restore it. The "copy and paste everything to the PC using normal Windows methods" way, or the "Home" way?

If you can find where that backup is stored, use Windows to copy it back onto the Go.
