Hi
There is a "sticky" here covering installing speed camera database in Tom Tom Go, but it was written in March 2005. Does it still apply?
I have TTG520, and my questions about installing the Speed Camera database include a) do you use TTHOME to do it, or just via Windows Explorer, b) do you have to de-install or deactivate Tom Toms own speed camera database. c) do you need to pay a subscription?
About 3 years ago I downloaded and installed it for TT NAV 3 running on old PDA, I don't recall having to pay anything then, and at the time certainly my version had no built in camera database, have things changed?
If the March 2005 instructions still apply, please let me know or point me to another posting for the more recent G520

Hi, Yes the method to install the speed cameras is the same, but Before you do anything, make sure you do a WINDOWS EXPLORER backup first. Yes you have to delete, or disable the TomTom database, or you will get warnings of the cameras twice, once from each database. The database from here is much better than TomTom's, more accurate, updated twice a month, mobile cameras, and costs less. The database used to be free, but now you need to join the Members area, for £2 a month, or £19 a year, once your payment has gone through, you can access the members area, which is where the database is. Finally, everything you need to know is here,
When you look at the link, you may be interested in the "OGG" warnings, instead of getting a "beeb", or whatever, you get a voice saying, "Warning, gatso at 50 miles per hour ahead" _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav
