AyToBe Question - sorry

Hi,

I have an aytobe that is coming up with the No GPS device error where the number of sattelites should be.

After reading the long thread on aytobe which is now unfortunately locked I have had a look around via activesync and there are a couple of tomtom files left in the devices flash memory which has me thinking someone has previously tried and failed to install tomtom, unfortunately I bought this second hand and cannot take it back to the shop.

I've tried restoring the device from an activesync backup of a working machine and using a working SD card, but to no avail.

I read it that thread there were some settings you needed to change to make the device run tomtom

Where abouts would I find these settings, and what are the correct settings to run the normal aytobe map?

PS sorry if you are sick of talking about aytobe's after that big thread.

Those settings that you've mentioned are merely the TomTom settings for which GPS receiver it would use.

You should be able to ensure you are back to a clean state with the Aytobe - either use the CD to ensure that your memory card is completely as it should be, or use the switch on the back to do a hard reset.
