I have an old Navman pin which uses smartst v2 for sat nav.
My question is does the PDA need its software updated like my desktop does i have never had to update microsoft poctet PC software.
The reason i ask is the Satnav has started to play up so before i buy new sat nav software i thought i would se if the PDA needs updating

I do believe that pin software can be updateded, however it might only be with ST v3 or above, I don't know.

However if the software was working fine up till now then maybe a total system reinstall may be in order as it might be something minor.

Also check and see if there is an INSTALL SOFTWARE option on smartST as this would reinstall the last pin software, loaded on your device.

Dont know what model of PIN you have ,there might be only 1 , I have the PIN 570 and runs TomTom 6 brilliantly. I now have 2 satnav programs on , my SmartST is a backup .
