wonder if u can help guys
my brother gave me his old ipaq 3630 and ipaq nav system , i dont have any original software at all for either device , not that thats nuch of a problem , but i was wondering if the ipaq navigation system jacket needs updating with anything as its gwtting oldish now and never been updated , i have read here that there are programs that change settings in the jacket for use with gps software , i`m now using co-pilot live 4 and have already updated the drivers in the ipaq so the jscket works
is there anything else i should update please
the gps jacket just has ipaq navigation system on the right , with what looks like a serial number printed on the inside of the jacket |

No updates available or needed for the original iNS Jacket. So long as you continue to use CoPilot then you won't have any problems but to use this jacket with any other software you will need install the Jacket Serial Driver available on the iNS CD (unless CoPilot remains insytalled on the PPC), the jacket is similar to the Navman version but has different firmware so Navman's Serial driver will not work.
This driver is not to my knowledge available for download and can only be sourced from the iNS or CoPilot CD's. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Nothing you can do about the slow lock, it's an old GPS receiver and this was typical of the model. Aside from that though it's a good receiver. _________________ Darren Griffin |
