sorry for making my first post a one needing help but.......
i bought the receiver the other day, and it doesnt come with any software for win 2003 se, just for XP and windows 98, no sure if it is needed though....
tomtom (navigator 6) comes up with 'waiting for a valid GPS signal'
every time i put the receiver into the PDA, it comes through as a modem.
the light on the unit flashes green/red
its probably something daft but im a bit of a noob and cant work it out!

Insert the CF GPS unit to the PDA, ignore the warning message about the modem, Start TomTom and go to Change Preferences/ Show GPS Status - top right of this screen is a small yellow/ Blue disk it should be spinning, if not it is a sign the unit isn't set-up correctly.
Assuming it is spinning take the unit outside away from the buildings and wait for a while for it to acquire the signals, when the grey bars turn Blue on the GPS Status page its got a position fix, subsequent time to fix will be less than the first one out of the box, unless you leave it unused for a while.
If the yellow/ Blue disk is not spinning tap the configure button, Select:
"Other NMEA GPS receiver"
GPS Baud Rate set to 4800
Pick your Com Port, it will be listed as "CF on SP2" or something similar, have a look at the list and one of the entries will say CF or GPS etc, if you are not 100% sure list the lot in a post and someone will tell you the correct selection - Mike
