|
|
I've searched and can find no topic on this subject which surprised me.
I have just put POI capture files (3) in the root of my 720. All is fine till I tap the POI icon on page 4.
This results in a white screen with a few horizontal black lines staggered across the top part of the screen.
Removal of the three files is the only remedy.
The other queery is, did I replace an existing .mnu file with the POI one, and if so what effect will it have now that I have just deleted it. Nothing appears to be amiss.

POICapture, as it stands at the moment, won't work with V7.xxx and if TT don't release the SDK, it never will, which is why there is no Topic.
The TomTom.mnu file is not necessary to the normal running of the Menu System. It's use with POICapture was to bring the POICapture Icon to Page 1 of the Main Menu. There is no mnu file in it's out of the box condition, so no, you didn't replace anything.
If it had done, your Day One Full Backup would have been able to Restore it. _________________ Richard

Thanks Richard. Did try the backup when it went tits up but TT came up with a blank page (no backups), when I tried, so don't know where that was saved. I'll do another now it's back to norm.

I would do the Backup with Explorer. HOME has a nasty habit of forgetfulness, especially with TTS.
HOME has a default Backup Folder and if you haven't changed it, it is usually found at C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\TomTom HOME\Backup _________________ Richard
