|
|
I'm trying to decide whether to get a Garmin Nuvi 300 or Tom Tom V2 GB. I read that the 300 is discontinued that's why they've been selling them cheap in ASDA, plus the map updates are £10 more a time.
I like the mp3 feature of the Nuvi too but then mp3 player's can be had for as little as £20 but then they don't pause to say the directions like the 300 does.
Is the TT navigation software much better than the Nuvi 300's at directing you?
Thanks |

personally i prefer garmin over tomtom but the one v2 are nice units anyway. best bet is to have a play in a shop with each one and see which interface you prefer - routing is pretty much the same (although my experience shows garmins maps (navteq) are of better standard than tomtoms (tele atlas))
it's personal preference really - you'll find the old pc vs mac syndrome here. those who were 'brought up' with garmin will swear by them and vice versa!

The TomTom vs. Garmin vs. ANother comes up a lot. Any chance of the Pocket GPS team doing a back to back review sometime of some roughly similar units? Would be great to see how the routing algorithms compare, features, etc. |
