I have recently downloaded through POI the update to the speed camera database to my nuvi250 the database does not seem to have overwritten the previous version as some temporary average speed cameras on the M60 in Manchester are still showing as active although they have been removed over three months ago. Am I doing anything wrong on my downloading? Can anybody give me any advice, it would be appreciated.

Garmin Sat Nav use POILoader to load all POIs inc the Safety Camera Database.

However when you load a new set of POIs it wipes out all existing POIs before loading the new ones. It's doesn't overwrite anything.

Do you have the Garmin Safety Camera database loaded at all? That may be the culprit of the out of date alerts?

Can you specify which cameras you are talking about? They all have a name such as GATSO:12345@60 where GATSO is the camera type, 12345 is the database ID and @60 is the trigger speed.

Finally if they are definately there then submit them for removal.

POI Loader will replace ONLY the poi.gpi file on your nuvi so if you have ever manually edited the file name on the nuvi's flash drive (via my computer) then that may be the problem.

if not then read paul's post above!
