Hi there,

I was just wondering if it's possible to get extra voices on the Garmin StreetPilot i3?

The standard voice of the very propper British lady is stating to grate, especially when she sternly says 'Recalculating' as if I purposefully missed the concealed turn of the windy country road.

Thanks for any help on this subject.

Cheers,
Adzi.

As far as i remeber you can't i'm afraid. There is a thread which i believe revives the old (not so posh) ladys voice somewhere here. I'll look.

Sadly i don't think this will be possible. The threads that mention the downgrade to the old voice all mention the Nuvi range and having to drop a file into a particular folder. As you can't do that with an i3 i can't see how it would be possible.

Might be worth contacting Garmin to see if they can send you the old (not so posh) voice.

Can't you turn off the recalculating anouncement off or is that just the "Bong" before it?

You turn the "Attention Tone" off but not the announcement.
