|
|
Hi all, apologies if this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer when i searched.
I have a XDA IIi and TT5 I have bought a bluettoth GPS reciever and and am trying to pair the two and then get TT5 to recongise it. I was able to pair the device, but on the instructions, it say the service available shuld be SSP Slave, but I only get SSP.
The XDA shows that the devices are pair and transmitting but only outgoing, nothing incoming.
And when I go in to TT5 it tells me to pair the devices first and can't see anything. Am i doing something wrong??
Any help appreciated.
thanks

Make sure flight mode is OFF, then try the "Other Bluetooth GPS" setting, this way you can assign the BT port from the list presented (its either com5 or 6 on your device IIRC)
You only need to set an outgoing port for the GPS to work - Mike |

it seems like everytime I go into TT5 it stop the pairing of the devices. I go into TT5 then come out and look in Bluetooth manager and the active connection isn't there anymore |

Right, finally sorted this out. Uninstalled Tom Tom Nav5 and then wiped the folders off the card. then put them on again from the Disc and re installed it. Then I opened the bluetooth manager paired the devices, and then opened TT5 and selected the GPS device as a "Wired other" and selected the Bluetooth serial port Com6 and it worked fine and has done since.
Thanks guys, got there in the end |
