Hello all, I've exhausted myself looking through these forums and cannot find an answer for my question:
I have tomtom navigator 6 with USA maps on my Hp Ipaq hw6915. I can 'select' a state and work within that map. I am currently in connecticut and have my home set to that map and it works fine if I need to travel within Connecticut. But when I want to travel to, lets say, New York, I cannot type that in as one of my destination points.
How can I set up my Navigator 6 on my Hp Ipaq so that I can travel between states -- afterall, this is the whole point of GPS!

Unfortunately I know nothing of most of your gear. And to be honest, all I know about USA is that it's VEEEERY BIG! But it seems to me as though you have several maps of USA, all separate, rather than one single map covering the whole of the country, so you cannot navigate across the boundaries of the maps. I see that Tom Tom offer about 8 different maps for North America and only one has all the States in one map. We have this problem in Europe - having individual maps of different countries means we can only navigate in one of them when we use that map. Our solution, and presumably yours, is to buy the map of the entire continent, then you'll be able to navigate across State/Area boundaries. For the next couple of weeks, Tom Tom are offering 20% discount off all maps downloaded from their website. I'm hopeless at exchange rates, but I guess the complete map would cost you about 100 dollars (919 Mb - you need Broadband to download). _________________ Dennis
