Hello,
im not very good with poi business. i loaded the cameras onto the nuvi then loaded some of the pois not al thou into the seperate catagories choice ?
and the nuvi died not soo good.
Is it just a matter of me calling Garmin and them sorting it or should i take it back to where i got it ? Sorry if this has been asked b4, im not very good at all this downloading stuff. i did read the warning but i still got it wrong DOH
Any pointers welcome |

spoke to garmin today, they told me to post it back to them to get it replaced. they said it cant be fixed and there going to charge me £160 odd quid for another one. Is that right ? ? ? i feel like a right prat now, but i feel im getting shafted by garmin not fair

I believe some others did manage to get the file to fix their Nuvi. Garmin support should be able to send you a fix for this as it's a limitation on the hardware that's not been addressed.
Try them again. If you have no luck let us know. |

indeed - they should not charge you to fix their faulty devices/software/firmware!
if you don't have any luck let me know and i'll contact them on your behalf

Has this issue not been addressed in one of the fw releases? I thought it had? - luckily ive spotted this before adding the full poi database!!! |

It may have been but some people don't always update their firmware / software because they don't know to do so, or that you can / should do it.
Still, the POI limit should have been found by Garmin before release and the software should have been coded to do something about it. |
