3rd Party Map Question

The metroguide maps are original Garmin maps and are up to date as the North America metroguide is at v7. (v9 refered to in previous post is the latest UK/Europe maps.) Original metroguide maps are not indexed or routable but can be made so by using programs such as metrowhiz. you can do it youself by purchasing a legitimate copy of mgna. It's very easy using the metrowhiz wizard.
I've done it and just returned from 3 weeks in Florida where my little i3 exelled itself.

US Metroguide is already up to v8, and v9 (or 2008 as it is likely to be called) will not be far away.

Units are shipping with v9 / 2008 in the US already, so yes it's out, but Metroguide is still on v8. Either way, a v7 map is between 2 and 3 years out of date, which is a long time in mapping.
