Hi there
Can anyone help me ref Fortuna Clip-On Bluetooth GPS Receiver
Ok its bluetooth but can it also link to non bluetooth devices as well?
Can it link via usb to a non bluetooth pda?
Can it link via usb to a non bluetooth laptop?
If it can, is it possible to receive on two devices at the same time ie tomtom on a pda and also infomap on laptop?

Nothing like making life really difficult Laughing

One more question, bonding. I buy the gps receiver (Fortuna Clip-On) so its mine, I buy the gps software (tomtom) so its mine, so can I not use then on whatever I want?
Thanks in advance for any info

The Fortuna Clip-on has _only_ Bluetooth connectivity. There is no way to attach a physical data cable.
A non BT PDA could attach to it through a BT card or jacket. Similarly a non-BT laptop could link to it through a BT dongle or PC card.
Bonding in the BT sense means setting up the communications between two physical devices, rather like an introduction between people. After you have set up the bond between the Clip-on and the PDA, they should re-establish the link when they are powered on and in range. As far as the Clip-on is concerned, you can connect it to many different BT partners at different times but only one at any one time unless I have missed something.
With regard to using TT on whatever you want, you would need to check the licence terms. Strictly, you buy a licence to use under defined terms, you don't "buy the software so its mine".
Hope this helps.
