hello peeps, forgive me if i miss a trick or two because i'm new here.
i've been using a ipaq HX2750 with tomtom 5 for a while now and it's fantastic but i find the maps a bit random. i've been thinking about getting the tomtom6 as much for the latest maps as much as anything else.
so i borrowed a friends PDA which has just got tomtom6 and i noticed pretty quickly that when you are in 'browse map', tap the cursor icon at the bottom, tap 'add as POI' then choose the category, it goes straight into the warning distance and warning sound routine and never asks you for a name or adds as a POI. you can still add it through manage POIs but it's a bit of a pain.
surely it's not supposed to do this?
has anyone else had the same problem?
has anyone else used tomtom6 that does not do this?
any advice happily received, i don't want tomtom6 if this is a change they made.
regards, paul. |

Well, the experience won't be very reliable as it will be a cracked version of a Beta. TTN6 for a PDA has not been released as yet, so who knows what will be in the final Version.;) _________________ Richard

ah... i see, i didn't realise that. do you think maybe they put such a glich in on purpose?
is the tomtom version 6 out for any device or does it not work like that?
does anyone know of any version of tomtom for any device that shows this behaviour rather than just adding the POI? because if there is no other than just this then it must be a fault, intentional or not? certainly seems a daft change. |

I've just discovered the bug on my version of TomTom, very annoying. |
