Hi

I guess quite a few people are usinf this combo - I'm thinking of giving my 3850 away and using my 2210 for gps, tried it today for the 1st time properly and the sound quality of the standard and loud voice promts from the sh*tty speaker at the back of the ipaq is dismal compared to the one on the front of the 3850.

So any pointers as to what are the best voice prompts or other suggestions for improving the vocal quality (I'd prefer something neat and simple rather than have even more wires all over the place!)

On your TomTom 2 distribution CDs there are special voice file CABs for "louder" announcements.

Many people also use active mounts (with speaker, for example from Seidio) or FM modulators.

One user has changed his 2210 mount to cut out the hole in the back and give the speaker more freedom.
