Can anyone tell me why my receiver switches off after a few seconds. It switches on OK and the green and red lights show and then it dies. The unit is connected to my PDA holder which is powered from the car socket.

If it's the TomTom receiver then the red light indicated that the battery is flat and needs recharging. Are you sure your PDA holder is charging it? Seems like it isn't.

thanks for the reply. I have tried using a different charger and the same thing happens, could it be the battery in the receiver is faulty?
