Hi everyone,
I`d like to think i have come up with a pretty good idea, I have searched the boards and can not find any topics with the same idea.
NB: You have to have access to your 210T's taskbar for any of these to be of use, Info about this is given elsewhere on these boards.
Ok!, I have been testing a few (freeware) programs/games etc, Just to see what would work and be usable on the Medion 210T GPS (bearing in mind we have no proper keyboard) and still be usable once the 210T has been reset or batteries removed (ie, Nothing is saved outside the installed folder), As long as you choose the "My Flash Disk" folder where the programs folder will reside.
How useful these programs/games will be to other people i have no idea, But i thought i'd post them just in case a few people maybe interested. You guy's and girls may have (freeware) programs you use on your 210T that may interest other's here and post a link to where they can be downloaded from.
Anyway, One of the most recent programs i have tried is scummVM, Which is a virtual machine for playing alot of the old lucas arts graphic adventure games, And i must say it works GREAT on the medion 210T.
You can get ScummVM from Here, Under the "Older versions (unsupported)" section halfway down the page, Titled "0.7.1 HandheldPC ARM binary (1.3M zipfile)", But you do have to have access to the original game files to be able to play the relevant games (Don't Ask).
ListPro is a great database/list type program that has been made freeware as they no longer support the HPC platform. You can get it from Here
Total Commander is another program that works great on the Medion 210T, The only problem i found is that you can not seem to execute program via TC, But copying, Deleting and renaming files works ok. Oh and it has a built-in registry editor too, By going to the parent folder from the root. You can get it Here and clicking the "arm/xscale/pxa" link under the CAB heading towards the bottom of the page.
PocketNotepad is another great program, It's good for taking note's and other writings you may need to do, It's also good for using as a simple text reader. You can get it Here, Just click the link "pnpad40e.zip" listed opposite "Windows CE.Net 4.1 or higher ARM720".
There should be quite a few more (freeware) programs to make the Medion 210T more useful than it already is, I'll keep looking and testing and will update this post with anything useful that i find. But please do post any working useful programs or games for the 210T that you have, With a link to where they can be obtained.
Regards
