Garmin StreetPilot c510 - Lost POI & Camera Icons

Hi,

I have been using my Garmin StreetPilot c510 for sometime now, however without any warning/doing anything any different, my c510 no longer displays the .bmp files for the POIs or speed cameras. I have tried several times to reinstall the speed camera database and my POIs but to no avail ????? Also, the traffic alerts have stopped!



Could anyone offer me any advice or help?

Do they still appear in the Custom Poi's list? -- Do they look normal in there - can you press MAP and see them? -- If you press "GO" can it calculate a route to them?

Which firmware version are you running?

You could try running CHKDSK (or its Windows Explorer equivalent) and check the C510 filesystem for errors.

Thanks for the reply, I have now sorted the POI issue.....the software version i was running was v5.20 which had a bug in it causing it to display the incorrect icon for custom POIs. This has been fixed in the 5.40 version.

I still appear to have problems with the traffic alerts though???

Also, i have just followed the hacking guide to install the TTS voice - It works really well and now tells me street names instead of just turn left/right etc.

Let me know if anyone can help with the traffic jam thingy??
