I have just run a demo route after putting the latest cameras on my tt1 v2 and I notice that when a camera is aproaching instead of giving the yds to it ie; 500 yds on a 50 700 yds on a 70 or whatever your preferance I get a 0.30...then a 0.25...then it reverts to yds ..whats that all about then ? Can i Fix it? |

My spelling and grammar above is not good so I will try again, I have installed the latest camera database on my tomtom 1 v2 sat nav and I ran a demo route on it to check all is well, however I notice that instead of warning me in yards to impact if you get my drift I now seem to get 0.30 then 0.25 and then 300 yds and so on, I have set my distances 50mph 500 yds 60 is 600 yds and so on , I am sure it used to warn me then count down 500 400 ect . Do i have a problem ? how can i fix it?
Thank you. |

The database can't have changed this.
As far as I know, it's the normal behaviour of the TomTom.
It shows fractions of a mile above a certain distance and yards below that. (On my Go300 on v6.52 it seems to be at 410 yards and above where it shows the fractions)
Have you increased the warning distances recently by any chance? |

I think it works in miles down to about quarter of a mile (450yds ish) and then works in yards
ie 0.5 = 1/2 mile = 900yds
0.25 = 1/4 mile = 450yds
To be honest, I don't take too much notice of the warning distance - as soon as I get a warning, I double check that I'm within the speed limit and then I don't have to worry about slowing down more as I approach the camera _________________ Andy
